Card Reviews By Scott

Computer Interface: Ever needed a high destiny draw for an Epic Event or weapon targeting
and ended up getting a site? By losing this card you can examine the
top cards from your Reserve Deck, Force Pile, and Used Deck and then
replace them anyway you wish. Simply find the card with the highest
destiny number lay it on the top of your reserve deck, initiate a
battle, target, and draw that card! It also can be used to cancel
Limited Resources. Rating: 7.0

Darth Vader, Dark Lord of Sith: The forth Vader persona, Darth Vader, Dark Lord of Sith is one of the
new Special Edition mains. Unlike the original Darth Vader, this persona
only adds 3 to the power of starships he pilots. He is power and ability
6, and he is immune to attrition. Although hes not from the Enhanced
Premiere, he does have a built-in weapon: if destiny is greater than
ability of a targeted light-side character, target is choked. Rating: 9.5

Plastoid Armor: This Utinni Effect makes any character a real threat to your
opponent(Power and forfeit +2, immunity to weapon destinies less than
6), but it is a pain to deploy on a character. There are two ways to do
this:
1. Kill a Stormtrooper on the Death Star, deploying this Effect at that
site and target a character not on Death Star, and moving a character
onto the Death Star to retrieve the armor.
2. Deploy Elom on a mobile site, and deploy on character at same site.
The second way is probably the easiest, but the Light Sides only mobile
sites are Cloud City, Death Star, and Sandcrawler: Interior youll have
to hope your opponent does. Rating 4.9

Flare-S Racing Swoop: One of the new exciting vehicles from Special Edition. A maneuver of 5
makes it a challenge for your opponent to target it, but its landspeed
depends on the drivers ability (Imagine Vader on a swoop!). It can also
follow other vehicles. A nice decoy to draw you opponents fire too.
Also try putting a Anti-Personnel Laser Cannon on it! Rating 6.1

*Forest (Light Side): This is the coolest location! All characters are immune to attrition at
this site. A definite must-have for any deck that takes serious
attrition damage. Put a Wrist Comlink on any character there for
protection. Only setback is only one per Planet System. Rating: 8.5

Amanin: This guy kills creatures! Normally hes power 3, but when attacking or
being attacked by a creature his power is 6! However, you must put a Ket
Maliss on him because he has no warrior icon. However if he does kill a
creature you get to retrieve force equal to its forfeit. Rating: 3.5

Red 5: Lukes X-Wing in the Battle of Yavin, is the standard power 3, maneuver
4 and hyperspeed 5. However just add Luke Skywalker and R2D2 and its
power 9, maneuver 9, and hyperspeed 8. Legendary Starfighter adds an
additional 2 to power and Special Modifications adds 2 to maneuver.
X-Wing Laser Cannons and Proton Torpedoes never hurt either especially
if Death Star: Trench and Attack Run are on the table. Rating 9.0

Salacious Crumb: This little guy will make your opponent think twice before attack at
same or adjacent site. Destiny draws cause opponent to use 1 force if
it is even, or the destiny card is lost if it is odd. A nice addition
to your deck. Rating 5.9

Bionic Hand: When you play people who like to keep that pesky Disarmed card in their
deck (like John Hoey), be sure you have a Bionic Hand in yours. Not only
will it give your character his hand back, but it also gives him power
and forfeit +1. A destiny of 7 isnt bad either. This and Intruder
Missile are great to sell to your opponent with Treva Horme. Rating 7.0

Hidden Weapons: Allows you to capture, hit, or lose an opponents character. However,
it only deploys on Boba Fett, or character with Mandalorian Armor. Its
a Used Interrupt too, so it can be used several times. Rating: 3.5

Shocking Information: What a cool card! Play this against your opponents who like to use
cards to scan through your deck. When opponent initiates a scan he
not only loses the card allowing the scan, but also 4 additional force!
Rating: 6.7

Your Eyes Can Deceive You: This effect turn either lost pile upside down, which really does
nothing, other than bother your opponent. He can lose his best cards
without knowing it, which saves him a lot of frustration. Whose side is
this card on? Rating: 0.5

Disruptor Pistol(Light Side):
The only difference between this card and Blaster, is that it deploys
for one more force on unique aliens, that it can target for free on a
non-unique alien, and that it is not able to target creatures. Look on
the bright side: at least it kills characters (unlike the Mos Eisely
Blaster)! Rating: 3.7

Trooper Assault: If you use troopers in your Dark Deck, this card is for you! This card
basically is deigned for you to kill your opponent with attrition. All
your troopers are power +2 an immune to attrition for remained of the
turn. Plus, it is only a Used Interrupt! Rating: 6.3

Choke: This card should be in every Rebel Deck! Satisfy attrition by
forfeiting any one alien. This comes in handy, especially when you have
attrition of 5 or more! It can also cause one opponents character not
to be able to use their gametext for a turn. Cool, huh? Rating: 6.4

SW:CCG Expansions By Andy

Ratings out of five stars:

Premiere RATING:*** At the time of release
Premiere Expansion it was a great! When it came out, it had lots of
mains like Obi-Wan, Luke, Leia, Han, Darth Vader, Tarkin, etc. A few of
the Effects and Interrupts are great deck helpers but for adding to a
deck, this expansion is not all that great any more.

A New Hope:--------RATING:**** The big cards
in here are R2D2, Chewbacca, and Tantive IV. As in most other expansions
the game play tilts towards the Rebellion!

Hoth:--------RATING:****1/2This is one of
DECIPHERS great achievements! This set has something for everybody!
AT-ATs, AT-STs, Cool Guns and Anakins Light Saber! There are good
characters, but again falls short because of some of the mains being
outdated. Hoth is my third favorite planet for both the Rebels and the
Imperials because it has a lots of force drain possibilities and has a
lot of open space and a Rebel Base to top it all off!

Dagobah:--------RATING: ***** Man!
This expansion is awesome! With, Fear, the EXECUTOR, and whole slew of
bounty hunters for the Imperials and YODA (only good with his Gimer
Stick and Warrior skill.) and SON OF SKYWALKER! As if thats not enough
you also get the Jedi Tests! Even though they dont do much for the game
play they are cool, if you have the means, get these cards!

Cloud City:--------RATING:****1/2
The Clouds are great for force drains and you can get the best Lando (at
least I think so!) and the best Leia (once again, at least I think so!)
Cloud city has the best sites for the Rebels and very good for the
Imperials.

Jabbas Palace:--------RATING:1/2
This set stinks! If there is a reason for a player to have quit, this
expansion is it! Dont by it except for a few Tatooine sites, Jabba and
his accessories, and the Rancor. The rest of the mains (Lando, Leia and
Artoo) dont do much compared to their counterparts!

Special Edition:--------RATING:****1/2
I havent seen too much of this but what I have seen ROCKS! Most of the
good cards are uncommon! And there is a NEW OBI-WAN and DARTH VADER
(Dark Lord of the Sith!). B-wings I recommend you at least one, in a
starter deck of this (you can pick either DARK SIDE or LIGHT SIDE)

Special Premium, and Preview Cards:--------RATING(overall):**

Most of these cards are lame! Like LEIA... HAN... LUKE... and VADER
(hes so-so) etc. But there are a few rare gems! the Mon Calamari Star
Cruiser, Boba Fett, Obi-Wan with Light saber. The rest character with
WEAPON cards six in all!) the Editions (second or First) are a great
value but Id rather just buy a bunch of Special Edition Hoth or Dagobah
Just Trade for the special cards you want! Oh! Also look into (No buy)
the LEADER CARDS!

Building A Deck By Robbie Linn

The first few questions that must be asked are: Is this a ground or
space deck? What should my base planet be? Will this be a force drain,
or kill-kill-kill deck? To have a good deck does not mean lots of
expensive cards (at least not at first!). After you win a few
tournaments, and some games with your friends you should get the feel of
the Imperials! You should start out with a deck oriented at both
killing and force draining. Try picking up the Darth Vader With His
Lightsaber, Boba Fett With Blaster, Leia with Blaster and Ben with
Lightsaber. They will come in handy! Of course try to get the real
mains (because they are more powerful duh!) use weird and obscure
effects etc.. For example, use Tallon Roll on a Tie Avenger vs. the
Millennium Falcon (you'd be surprised who normally wins!). Don't try
this if the Falcon is souped-up with Special Modifications!) Or pull out
the famous Han, Chewbacca, Falcon, and R2-D2 and you have a great Star
Destroyer killing deck. Or try Restraining Bolt on R2D2 or 4-LOM.
That'll slow him down a little! Darth Vader With His Lightsaber can beat
any rebel main one-on-one, so use him well after you know what you're
doing. SPEND ALL YOUR EXTRA CASH for a month until you can beat all of
your friends with the rares you get!

Robbies Top 10 SW:CCG Cards of All Time!
1. Millennium Falcon
2. Captain Han Solo
3. Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith
4. Ben Kenobi
5. Blizzard 2
6. Executor
7. Chewbacca
8. Leia of Alderaan
9. IG-88
10. Lando(LS)

Game Strategy By John Hoey

If youre Light Side, try to have lots of options by having lots of
interrupts. also most Dark Side deck designs now a days are either
Jabba's Palace, Cloud City, Death Star or planetary starship decks.
Those who have a urge to have a jedi test deck, I don't recommend it
unless you have Yoda, Son of Skywalker Anakin's Lightsaber, all the
Dagobah sites for the Light Side plus Yoda's Gimmer Stick and Yoda's
Hope. At rest and a lot of Controls, Alters And Senses. Also the most
annoying cards out there for jedi tests are: Broken Concentration, He Is
Not Ready and Disarmed( I recommend you have Bionic Hand in your deck
because it's going to really stink if you get Luke all trained and
deploy Anakin's Lightsaber on him and they play disarmed). If you have
Red 5 and have any Luke you should use Rebel Fight Suit. If You have a
Starship deck you should have lot's of planets, Haven, Rendezvous Point,
and lots of starships with matching pilots (again Rebel Flight Suit
helps) and weapons( Quad's X-wing lasers and proton torpedoes). Also,
keep a death star trench and attack run handy. Combined Attack also is
very good. When playing an opponents exterior site deck, use Surface
Defense Cannon. Also keep a few Rebel Troopers at hand with a Medium
Repeating Blaster Cannon and some Blaster Rifles on a capital star ship
for interior decks. For ground decks have lots of characters and some
weapons. Use Elom and a Mobile Site to get lots of Plastoid Armored
warriors. When you do give them Blaster Rifles and then move them from
site to site, hitting them so hard that your opponent loses so much
force that he can't withstand you, then crush him/her!
If you play Dark Side then here's a few things you should know: Light
Side players usually have a: Jedi Test Deck, Star Ship Deck, or a
Tatooine Deck. Although, I know someone with a puny Musicians Deck that
I could beat blind-folded (Hint, hint, Scott!)! You should either make a
Jabba's Palace Deck, a Cloud City Deck or a Death Star Planetary Fleet
Deck. For the Jabba's Palace Deck you should have: Jabba, Desilijec
Tattoo, Jabbas Sail Barge stuff, Sarlaac and Great pit of Carkoon, all
the Jabba's Palace Sites, Rancor, Trap Door, Mallikia, Hutt Bounty, and
lots of bounty hunters and stuff! Also aliens for the Sarlaac game text.
None Shall Pass works well to keep out unwanted company except Han Solo
for Hutt Bounty. For a Cloud City Deck you should have Lando, Lobot and
lots of bounty hunters and their stuff and also Sabaac and
Carbon-Freezing stuff. Also, Clouds and Obsidians help a lot! For Death
Star Planetary Fleet Deck, you should have Death Star with its stuff and
lots of starships, starship weapons, Besieged, and Tractor Beam. Then
just go around blowing planets that your opponent force drains you at
and blow it away and destroy their puny starships away. Ha Ha Ha Ha
Ha(Jabba Laugh)! Also in all your decks keep Disarmed x3 Broken
Concentration and He Is Not Ready.
